Street race in Texarkana leads to wreck

TEXARKANA, TX (KSLA) – The need for speed may have been the cause of a wreck Sunday morning in Texarkana that sent two people to the hospital.

It happened around 9:30 at the Interstate 30 Kings Highway bridge police say the driver of this Dodge Viper, Harvy Osborne, is in critical condition in a Texarkana Hospital.

Witnesses say Osborne was apparently racing a Corvette south on Kings Highway when he lost control, striking a north bound pickup.

The driver of the truck, 19 year-old Ashley Ford of Texarkana, suffered minor injuries.

Police are still searching for the corvette.

If anyone knows the whereabouts of the yellow corvette they are asked to call Texarkana, Texas Police at (903) 798-3876.

Come on out guys. I had a blast last month! Tons of fast cars and good times. They have a class for just about everyone. I slowed my car down and ran in the 8.0 class last month and came in second. All in all it is a fun event to hangout with other car guys and maybe even win some money!
